In-Home Care & Support Services

Home Care Registries screen and refer caregivers who work directly for the clients. These caregivers are typically CNAs, CMAs or a nurse, depending on the needs of the client.

Non-medical companies provide companionship services to those in need of light assistance in order to remain independent in their own home. These services typically include meal preparation and light housekeeping. Limited personal care may also be available.

Respite is short-term or temporary care of a sick or disabled individual to provide relief to the primary caregiver, who is usually a family member. It can be scheduled on a regular basis or as the need arises. Respite can be provided in the home by outside services or may be provided by facilities. Many organizations offer some respite assistance either directly or through grants.

These centers offer supervised care for adults who cannot or choose not to be left alone during the day.
